I've Got This

Something happened, in between a second child, and several minor health issues, and a bout of vitamin anemia caused depression, and life, and trying to work from home....
I had lost me.  Not in the deep way, of finding who one is within the universe... I was still there, just a wee bit consumed by messy pony tails, and a baby belly (from a 4 year old baby), skin that showed years of abuse.  I didn't like the me I saw.   And that wasn't because of anyone telling me I needed to look better.  It wasn't society shaming me.  I didn't like me.  I hated the mirror.  
So along came another minor (major to me, lol) surgery to correct some dental/jaw issues this February, and I was going to be on a restricted diet for a few weeks, and I thought, hrmmm, this could be my chance...

I ordered the bare bones package of Beachbody's 21 Day Fix Extreme.  (I might have been watching an infomercial for an entire day right before I bought it, shhhhhhh)
And I was floored.  Both literally exhausted to the point that I couldn't get off the floor, but surprised how the whole entire company works.  (I've tried a few home sales mlm businesses before, Avon, Tupperware, Damsel)  Their focus on every page... YOU.  
Needless to say I was sold.  I signed up as a coach, because I need more of this me thing.  I need MORE of the not feeling sick, and sleepy, and tired, and gross.  More of actually changing things I can really control.  And all the people in the world that feel the same exact way.  Then, I met my team.  And I'm never looking back.  

Look!  I even took a picture of myself!  That's pretty big, even if my face is covered.  This company, these people just make you feel good, even on a 100% icky day.  
I think the most important thing I have learned through this short journey so far, is that you think you're buying a program, but once you dig in, and press play, you end up developing a lifestyle that reaches far beyond the 30 minute video.  From eating habits, to workouts, to new friends who want the same thing, to a new attitude about how you can face anything, to just a better outlook period.  I'm hooked, and I've only just begun!

~Just Go With It~

My blog crashed.  A great start to the weekend to log on, and find, almost every image, in an image based site to be wiped clean away.  (Apparently when you link your tablet to your google account, and run your blog via google, it likes to store every image in said tablet and take up all your memory... and I'm working on all of that.)  :)
After a few minutes of head pounding, and choice words, I decided it was time to makeover everything anyway.  I've been getting crazy busy lately to start with, and maybe it was just time to move it all on forward.  (Or that's what I told myself)
Besides all of the pictures missing in all of my old post (I haven't quite decided what to do there), you'll be noticing a few other changes.  

• New Shopping Site!!!  This is the biggest change, and the one I'm the most excited about.  Of course you can still shop at my normal Etsy shop, http://www.whitegoatranch.etsy.com , that location isn't going anywhere (unless etsy implodes, or explodes in ways that don't fit me).  But on my new site, www.whitegoatranch.com I do not have to pay as many fees per sale (which means your money is going more towards my shop rather than some online venue, which means, more product in my shop!), and I'm not as limited to what I can share with you, and I have more ways in which to interact with you!  (Keep an eye open for some design your own features I'm working on!)
• Supplies!  I now buy all of my supplies in bulk to get both you and I the best cost I can.  Which in turn means I need to buy 6 spools of leather at one time, instead of just the 1 I need, which means I'm running out of space in my wee little Martha Cave.  So I'm sharing all my deals and supplies with you!  Check it out, and get inspired!  www.whitegoatsupplies.etsy.com

Houston We Have a Problem

Somehow, somewhere, all, and I mean all of my pictures from here got wiped off the face of the planet... or at least the face of the interwebs.  I'm working on it, or at least working on something, and just wanted to let you know that I'm aware that something goofy is going on here.  Pass the coffee please.  :)

Where Have all the Good Blogs Gone?

I started getting into blog reading about 9 years ago when my first child was born.  I was home, he was sleeping, and I'm not big into tv.  I quickly found my favorites.  Those that dealt with things that were important to me, ones that made me laugh, and those where the writers reached out and became friends with their readers.
I subscribed to my favorites, followed them religiously, chatted with them, felt like I knew them...
And then an ad would pop up.  Nothing harmful, nothing big, just a link on the side bar, go here, I'll get paid!  (okay so I have those too).  And then one day ads would appear in the middle of a post.  THEN every post would become an ad.  And then you have to click an ad to get out of this ad, to read about that ad, just to find out a recipe you've used from that blog for NINE years is now an item to buy off of Etsy.  
I get it, I do, we all need money.  We're all fighting tooth and nail to stay afloat, to pay the bills.  Trust me, I know.  BUT I feel betrayed, like my very best friend will only talk to me if I buy from her affiliate using her link.  And I want to talk to her, but about real things, not about which brand of paper towels paid for her to talk non stop about them that month.  
Oh and another thing, while I'm ranting, giveaways rock too.  But not when it's all you do.  Bring back the content bloggers!!!  Bring back the good stuff that's coffee sipping worthy.  Yes get paid for your time, do the ads but if you can't balance real life and Soap commercials, we're gonna have to break up.  
I miss you, we miss you, come back to us.  

~Baltic Amber, and Natural Healing~

If you've browsed through my shop you might have noticed a growing collection of Baltic Amber Bracelets, and you might be wondering what's the deal?

Baltic Amber comes from the Baltic Sea, a petrified resin from ancient trees.  Much like the amber we all learned about on Jurassic Park.  Except you're not going to be finding huge globs of it, nor are you likely to find any insects or insect parts trapped inside.

What you will find are multiple shades, of beautifully, and carefully, hand drilled amber beads.  Each unique, with different shades, and patterns, and a uniqueness you can't find in reproduced amber, or look alike plastic creations.  What you will get, is even more amazing.  Real Baltic Amber releases a natural acid when it's gently warmed (like from the warmth of being worn on our skin), that is said to naturally imitate the same healing properties of an ibuprofen!  The acid is so gentle, yet it's said to reduce swelling, and provide pain relief.  

Now granted, I'm not a Doctor, so no piece of jewelry should EVER be used in place of actual medical treatment or qualified advice.  So go see the Doc first and always play it safe!!  But my customers have sworn that they have noticed a difference!

My Amber is the real deal, and I've wrecked a few beads to make sure!  :)  Real amber is a static monster, and you'll see dust attracted to pieces that have been laying around.  Large quantities smell a bit like your Christmas Tree, and remain much warmer to the touch compared to other gemstones and beads.  

I carry Ambers of 2 different shapes.  Small nuggets (around 4-5mm), or in chips.  Normally I keep in stock 3 different shades including Honey Amber, Lemon Amber, and Cherry Amber.

There's a few samples always ready to go in the shop, but I love creating custom orders!  I have leather in all sorts of color, vintage brown, pink, green, blue, black and more!  And My button selection is constantly growing and changing!
